In the summer, we, as a country, collectively realised that football was coming home, but thanks to the release of a new Gareth Southgate-style, knitted-waistcoat Christmas jumper, we now know football’s mode of transport.

Apparently, football’s driving home for Christmas.

The jumper, made by notjust, is a celebration and reminder of the summer when Southgate and his waistcoat guided England to the semi-finals of a World Cup for the first time in 28 years.

But this isn’t notjust‘s first foray into the novelty Christmas jumper market. Last year, the company released a ‘Jerry Christmas’ jumper, which was a knitted jumper with Jeremy Corbyn in a Santa hat emblazoned across the front.

“Last year we had an overwhelming response to our Jerry Christmas festive jumper, and this year we wanted to return with even more designs celebrating this year’s biggest individual who unified the nation,” said Mike Harding, founder of notjust.

“Gareth Southgate, and his iconic waistcoat, oversaw a World Cup run that truly made us believe it was coming home.

“The idea of home is something that so many of us take for granted, but we’ve got 5,500 people living on the streets of England! This year we’ll be donating jumpers and socks to homeless people across the country for the products that we sell.”
