7 Ayurvedic Herbal Face Packs To Get Beautiful and Glowing Skin

Your skin is a mirror into your inner health. Everyone of us wants to have a healthy and beautiful looking skin and some of us are ready to spend a fortune on commercial beauty products. Some of these beauty products do give us instant results for our skin problems, but it never lasts long and they often have some sort of side effects. Ayurveda has a very different approach to skin care than modern cosmetics. Ayurvedic skin care treatments start from the inside out. Ayurveda recommends a healthy and sattvic diet for an individual to keep all the three doshas(Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) in balance. When these three doshas are in balance you won’t have any skin or other health issues. When it comes to skin health, we like some extra glow too! For this added glow Ayurveda advises us to turn to the things which are naturally available to us. There are numerous valuable herbs and plants available to us that have endless therapeutic and rejuvenating properties that could be a boon to our skin. Here I will talk about my favorite Ayurvedic Herbal Face Packs To Get Beautiful and Glowing Skin. These home remedies are easy to make and are also pocket-friendly!

1. Yogurt Face-pack 

Ingredients

4 teaspoons Yogurt

A Pinch of Turmeric powder

1 teaspoon Lime juice

Directions

  • Mix all three ingredients in a glass or ceramic bowl and apply on the tanned area.
  • Leave for 20 minutes before washing it off.
  • Three weeks of regular use will give you tan-free and glowing skin. In this recipe, yogurt and lemon acts as a natural bleaching agent.

2. Buttermilk Face-pack

1/2 cup Buttermilk

4 to 5 teaspoons of Oats (preferably ground Oatmeal

)

Directions

  • Mix and apply this mixture on your face or body.
  • Leave for 20 minutes to get rid of tanning.
  • Buttermilk soothes and softens the skin and oats helps to exfoliate the skin so this mixture is extremely beneficial to remove skin tanning.

3. Cucumber Face-pack

2 tablespoons Cucumber juice

1 teaspoon Lemon juice

1 teaspoon Honey

Directions

  • Mix these ingredients and apply on the affected area for 15 minutes and then wash it off.
  • Cucumber has hydrating properties. This face pack will give instant freshness to your skin after a long day at work.

4. Saffron Face-pack

3 to 4 strands of Saffron

3 tablespoons Milk

Directions

  • Soak the saffron in the milk for at least 2 hours.
  • Saffron will release its color and into the milk.
  • Massage this mixture on face for few minutes and leave it until it gets dry.
  • This is the best fairness home remedy against skin darkened due to tanning.

5. Almond Face-pack

4 to 5 Almonds (Soaked Overnight)

1 tablespoon Besan (Chickpea flour

)

2 tablespoons Milk

1 pinch of Turmeric Powder

Directions

  • Make a paste of soaked Almonds and mix with Besan, Milk, and Turmeric.
  • Apply this mixture of face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash off with cold water.
  • Almonds are rich in Vitamin E content. You will immediately notice the difference in your skin tone with this face pack.

6. Honey and Lemon Face-pack

1 tablespoon Honey

1 tablespoon Lemon juice

7. Aloe vera, Honey, and Lemon Face-pack

1 tablespoon Aloe Vera pulp

1 teaspoon Lemon juice

1 tablespoon Honey

Directions

  • Mix all the three ingredients and mix them well using a fork or spoon to make a smooth paste.
  • Apply the pack directly to your face leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and wash it off.
  • Both Aloe Vera and Lemon are packed with essential vitamins and other compounds that keep your skin free of inflammation and help fade away acne and acne scars.
  • This pack will also tone your skin and tighten the pores.

You can choose to apply any one of the above you like most, or use different ones alternatively. The key here is to use these face-packs at least for 3 to 4 weeks regularly to see the difference. Using face packs 3 to 4 times a week is enough to get the desired results.
