T01: Adelante Healthcare Goodyear

Adelante Healthcare’s new primary care center is the first community health center built from the ground up on a hospital campus in the state of Arizona. The 45,000-square-foot facility, scheduled to open in late 2018, is being designed using a population health and primary care patient-centered medical home (PCMH) team model and will include a laboratory, pharmacy, and cafe.

T02: Mountain Park Health Center

For Mountain Park Health System’s newest Federally Qualified Health Center, the project team transformed a former boat dealership into a 30,000-square-foot clinic, expected to serve an estimated 2,500 patients per month. Digital check-in, a waiting area with flexible seating, 45 generously sized exam rooms, and an on-site mini orchard and fitness trail are among the design features on display.

T03: Banner Health, Emergency Trauma Center

Banner Health’s expansion of its Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMCP) campus encompasses five city blocks near downtown. This tour includes the 293,120-square-foot emergency trauma center, completed in July 2017. The ED integrates 60 exam rooms, 40 observation rooms, five trauma bays, four operating rooms, an infectious disease room, and more.

T04: Banner Health, New Patient Tower

The three-story emergency trauma center at BUMCP was constructed as a podium for a 372,476-square-foot, 17-story replacement patient tower, scheduled to be completed in winter 2019. The tower will house 312 private rooms, including four ICU floors, seven medical-surgical floors, and two shell floors. For future flexibility, the tower will also include the infrastructure for two additional towers.

T05: Banner Health, Systems Infrastructure

Banner Health’s expansion projects are adding 720,000 square feet of building to an existing 1.4 million square-foot academic medical center campus. On this tour, attendees will learn about the infrastructure to support these projects, including the 15-megawatt generators, 7,315-ton chiller plant, and 50,000-square-foot MEP infrastructure floor.
