PatientPop has secured $25 million to improve its practice growth solution and expand its go-to-market capability. Leerink Transformation Partners led the funding round. “PatientPop makes it easy for healthcare providers to attract more patients, manage online reputation, modernize the patient experience and streamline the front office,” co-founder and co-CEO Luke Kervin said via email. The startup said it has raised $75 million to date.
AdhereTech, a startup developing smart wireless pill bottles, has received a strategic investment from Argentum, a growth equity firm that focuses on companies in the software, technology and healthcare sectors. The new financing will be used to increase the company’s pharmaceutical and pharmacy partnerships and expand into more healthcare verticals. Additionally, it will go toward further enhancing the company’s data analysis and engineering applications.
New York City-based Hero, a startup aimed at addressing medication management and nonadherence, has launched in the United States with $12 million in funding. The startup’s product, which is also called Hero, sorts and dispenses medication, automates refills and offers audible and digital reminders. Investors included Naval Ravikant, Brainchild Holdings, Box Group, Refactor Capital, and Third Kind Venture Capital, among others. Via email, Hero founder and CEO Kal Vepuri said the funding will be used to help educate unpaid and informal caregivers across the country.
