North Caddo Medical Center, Vivian, La., recently showed off its expansions to the emergency and radiology departments, and the installment of a new MRI machine. According to an article in the Shreveport Times, the hospital began its transformation in 2013, replacing the existing building, which was roughly 50 years old at the time.
Reporter Emily Enfinger writes: “The new facility was built in phases. At the end, the project was under budget by more than $1.1 million; but this was because they sacrificed certain features and cut back on areas they initially planned to include…The expansion began earlier this year to accommodate the new MRI Unit, to reposition the ER admitting office, and to add more rooms in the Emergency Department.”
