MedCity News has assembled compelling speakers to address the Covid-prompted rapid transformation of healthcare at this year’s virtual INVEST conference, April 19-23.

INVEST is a premier international healthcare investing event hosted in partnership with MHIN, a Midwest healthcare investor organization. The conference brings together active investors and promising startups in biopharma, diagnostics, medical devices, health IT, and health services.

Health equity is a big theme of the conference this year. One panel that reflects this theme is Rebuilding Trust: How Health Systems and Payers are Seeking to Address Gaps in Care for Minorities

Covid-19 revealed how minority populations suffered the brunt of the disease. Attendees will learn how health systems and health plans are addressing these care gaps through several strategies.

Speakers for the panel include:

  • R.J. Briscione, Sr Director, Social Determinants of Health Strategy & Execution, CVS Health Aetna
  • Takeisha Davis, MD, CEO, New Orleans East Hospital
  • Adam L. Myers, MD, Chief of Population Health, Director, Cleveland Clinic Community Care
  • Dan Gebremedhin M.D., Partner, Flare Capital Partners will moderate the panel
