Dr JV Hebbar
One of the world’s biggest healthcare challenges is Diabetes. Diabetes  is not only a lifestyle disease in itself, but also a root cause for many other diseases.

Diabetic patients go through their whole life suffering from Various aspects of the disease which impact them, physically, mentally, socially , personally , rather every aspect of life.

The current trends talk about Type 2 diabetes reversal. However, is it really reversible is a question that often lingers in the minds of practitioners worldwide.

Ancient Ayurvedic text book – Charka Samhita explains that Kapha and Pitta variants of Diabetes (Prameha) as curable. What we see in our daily routine is, the Type 2 diabetic patient is made to take anti-diabetic drugs and he is made to take it for life. If he stops it, then blood sugar spikes again.

While researching on this topic, I came across the work done by Madhavbaug. It is a chain of clinics and two hospitals, working on reversing diabetes. Their claim is that type 2 diabetes can be reversed if the patient is made to follow a certain protocol involving diet, Ayurvedic therapies, lifestyle and medicines. Post the treatment, the person can live without any diabetic medicines.

They called me to the Madhavbaug Hospital at Khopoli, shared their research documents etc., fellowship programs, etc.
