Baylor Scott & White – The Heart Hospital Plano has transformed its 116-bed heart and vascular hospital with a new 164,000-square-foot addition, designed by E4H Environments for Health Architecture.

The new six-story north tower allows for improved operational efficiency and increased patient load and features a hospitality focus, including a new lobby and Heart Rock Café, which provide a new front door for the facility.

Spa-like interior features are carried throughout the building, including the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation unit, which features equipment and an indoor track. The addition includes an education suite, composed of a 190-seat auditorium, bio-skills classroom, and the Baylor Research Institute, which are newly integrated programs at the hospital.
