What’s coming up on Day 3 of MedCity INVEST?

This week we are hosting our MedCity INVEST conference online from July 20-24. Today marks Day 3 of the conference. At 3:30 pm startups will take center stage as part of the Pitch Perfect competition. Five medical device companies will present their technology to a team of investor judges who will ask probing questions about their business.

Among the companies taking part in the event are:

Actuated Medical, Inc. is a commercial stage developer of innovative devices which integrate electronically controlled motion for clinical and preclinical markets aimed at improving outcomes, reducing user time and saving money. Its first product, the TubeClear system clears clogs from feeding tubes while the tube remains in the patient and works bedside.

Headquarters: Bellefonte, PA

emocha Health is a patient-centered service that improves medication adherence by leveraging video technology and human engagement. It scales the gold standard of medication adherence (Directly Observed Therapy) to address the three primary barriers to adherence: behavior, medication problems, and social determinants of health.

Headquarters: Baltimore, MD

HT BioImaging developed a technology that lies at the base of a noninvasive, safe and highly accurate imaging to detect cancer based on the principle of heat diffusion. Its platform technology provides real-time results that will enable physicians to decide if additional, more expensive and high-risk testing is necessary – early on.

iNNOGING Medical is developing a medical imaging technology that will provide radiologists a remote and off-line tool to inspect areas of interest, based on recorded ultrasound scans.

Sense Neuro’s “radar for the brain” rapidly identifies active bleeding and blood flow disturbances in the brain, allowing doctors to start treatment sooner – saving lives, reducing disabilities and lowering the costs of treating stroke and traumatic brain injuries.

Each day of the week will feature a pitch competition highlighting five startups in these tracks – Health Services, Health IT, Medical Devices, Biopharma and Diagnostics. Presenters will highlight their vision for changing healthcare followed up by a Q&A with investor judges. Winners for each track will be announced on July 27 on our website.
