Ayurvedic Post-Sex Milk Tonic Recipe

Serves 2
 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk (you can substitute non-dairy)
  • ½ tsp. ghee
  • ½ tsp. ginger
  • ½ tsp. turmeric
  • ½ tsp. cardamom
  • 6 threads of saffron (optional)
  • 2 tsp. maple syrup or 1 tsp. raw sugar

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and heat gently on low. Bring milk to the barest simmer and then remove from heat. Divide into two mugs and enjoy.

Vata and Pitta types, may drink to their heart’s content. Due to Kapha’s inherently greater supply of ojas, this type should consume only when energy is truly depleted.
