At ViVE, a technology conference focused on the business of transformation in healthcare, the networking and content will come in many forms beyond the panel discussions on the agenda. There will also be opportunities to exchange ideas in the pavilions embracing some of the 15 themes of the conference, speed dating-like meetings with startup executives, health tech vendors and more .

ViVE is a new conference from HLTH and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) that seeks to merge the leadership of CHIME with the digital marketplace of HLTH. It is scheduled for March 6-9 in Miami Beach. The conference brings together healthcare industry leaders who are shaping tech-enabled healthcare and addressing key issues in digital health innovation.

Interoperability

The InteropNow! at ViVE pavilion is an interactive exhibition of companies seeking to transform healthcare by making patient data available. Real time interoperability is enabled through open APIs using standards such as HL7 FHIR to meet business goals for healthcare payers and providers.

Among the companies taking part in the pavilion are:

There’s also a podcast by the same name highlighting this topic ahead of the conference. Among the guests so far have been Dr. Shane McNamee Chief Medical Information Officer for Smile CDR Inc., which developed a FHIR-based platform for collecting and sharing health data.  Kristen Valdes, b.well CEO and co-founder, and Kevin Erdal, Nordic’s managing director and practice lead for digital health have also taken part on the podcast.

Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity pavilion, powered by CyberRisk Alliance, highlights tech offerings in cybersecurity spanning cloud security, network security, medical device security and application security. Healthcare cybersecurity executives will discuss emerging trends in cybersecurity and how to protect your healthcare organization and patients with new technology daily from Monday March 7to Wednesday March 9.

Among the companies to be showcased in the section are:

Telehealth

The Telehealth pavilion, in collaboration with the American Telemedicine Association, will highlight some of the vendors that are providing a bridge for vital healthcare services between providers and patients through videoconferencing, remote monitoring, e-consults and mobile communications

Health systems have rapidly scaled or adopted telehealth services, driven by CMS reimbursement, since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Amazon Care and Clear Arch Health are among the companies that will be part of the pavilion.

Startups

StartUp Health’s network of companies will take center stage at The Hive@ViVE Startup pavilion. Among the featured businesses are:

Networking

There are several networking opportunities at ViVE. A hosted buyer program on Monday March 7 and Tuesday March 8 offers curated matchmaking which will pair digital health buyers with technology vendors in 15-minute, one-on-one meetings, helping attendees to identify the right partner for their needs. This program enables healthcare organizations to accelerate internal projects, due diligence on new technologies and strategic procurement. On the flip side, the program also helps tech vendors to initiate meaningful relationships that can lead to partnerships and generate revenue, gain access to digital health buyers at leading health systems, and helps them build their sales pipeline.

There are also networking opportunities geared to startups. A Funding Founders program is a curated networking program that matches health tech startup CEOs and founders with leading investors in a series of 10 minute, one on one meetings.

Attendees also have several networking options. ViVE Connect offers a digital platform and networking lounge in the exhibit hall. They can send a meeting request to connect, and choose whether to meet virtually through a video meeting within the digital event platform or a designated networking lounge at the conference. ViVE Connect enlists AI tech to make recommendations for networking and helps to find and connect attendees based on mutual interests, goals and other relevant information.

Tech Talks introduce ViVE sponsors to attendees by allowing them to highlight their technologies in 10-minute presentations. The rapid-fire presentations from more than 50 companies will be delivered on stages throughout the exhibit hall.

Lunches sponsored by five companies will also be held Monday March 7 and Tuesday March 8 from 12:30pm to 2pm. They include:

Monday

  • American Medical Association: Room 209
  • EY: Room 203
  • IBM Watson: Room 229AB

Tuesday

  • AARP: Room 209
  • Canon Medical: Room 229AB

Receptions

Additionally there will be a series of networking sessions in the exhibit hall on Monday and Tuesday of the conference from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. A kick off reception at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Sunday night from 7pm to 9pm. A closing night reception featuring Wyclef Jean at the Surfcomber Hotel, sponsored by Clearsense, will take place Tuesday evening from 8pm to 11pm.
