Houston-based Brookdale Willowbrook Place will celebrate the grand opening of a Dialyze Direct suite with eight chairs on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The new dialysis suite is part of a Brookdale Senior Living initiative to add on-site treatment options at four continuing care retirement communities in Texas. Brookdale Galleria in Houston began offering dialysis in May, while Brookdale Patriot Heights, San Antonio, currently offers bedside dialysis treatment.
These communities offer independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing on one campus. Brookdale is partnering with Dialyze Direct to provide dialysis treatment in the skilled nursing centers, making it more convenient for independent or assisted living residents who no longer have to travel long distances to receive dialysis. A Dialyze Direct clinic will soon open at Brookdale Lakeway in the Austin, Tex., area.
