The Cherokee Nation is replacing the W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah, Okla., with a new facility in Tahlequah, according to an article in Becker’s Hospital Review.

The current facility is 180,000 square feet and was built to serve approximately 60,000 patient visits per year but recently has been serving over 500,000 patient visits per year, according to the article.

The new $400 million facility is planned to be double the size and include critical care beds, inpatient dialysis, and a labor and delivery department.
