We can’t imagine anyone buying a chocolate bar in the hope it’ll offer some form of nutritional value. Regardless, two of the nation’s best-known chocolate bars are about to have a gym locker overhaul.
They’ll be joined by low Calorie versions of Mars, Snickers, Twix, Milky Way Crispy Rolls and Ripples, according to The Grocer, which will all contain fewer than 100 calories.
David Manzini, UK general manager, says that “health and wellness” is playing a part in formulating new products.
“I do believe we have a role and responsibility to play, which is why we’re bringing out this proposition and why we’re going to continue working on reformulation of our products by reducing the quantity of sugar,” he told The Grocer.
