Emerald X is pleased to announce the promotion of Jennifer Kovacs Silvis to Brand Director for both the Healthcare Design and Environments for Aging brands.

As Brand Director, Silvis will be responsible for overseeing brand strategy and execution across a portfolio that includes the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo, Environments for Aging Conference + Expo, HCD Forum, Senior Lifestyle Design Match, as well as Healthcare Design (HCD) and Environments for Aging (EFA) magazines.

Joining Emerald in 2010, Silvis has worked across editorial and events in several positions, most recently as Content Director for Healthcare Design and Environments for Aging, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the magazines and managed conference and event content programming. An award-winning journalist, Silvis has spent two decades working primarily in trade media and events and has covered industries including healthcare building and construction, hospitality, and real estate.

“Jennifer has been dedicated to the healthcare and senior living design industries for 13 years, continually working to grow our brands and the content and connections that are invaluable to the professionals they serve. I have no doubt that she will guide Healthcare Design and Environments for Aging in continued success as we evolve the brands to further support our audience in the important work they do,” says Kevin Gaffney, Group Vice President, Design Group, Emerald.

Anne DiNardo will step into the Editor-in-Chief role for Healthcare Design and Environments for Aging. DiNardo has spent more than 25 years in trade journalism, including covering the screen printing and retail design sectors. She’s been reporting and writing on the healthcare and senior living design markets for more than a decade, most recently as Executive Editor of HCD and EFA, and has earned several awards for her work.

“Anne has been an invaluable member of our editorial team, and we’re thrilled to see her take the helm of the magazines and position them for further growth as a critical piece of our brand portfolio,” Silvis says.
