Sundt Construction, Inc. and its joint-venture partner Modern Building, Inc. recently started work on Orohealth’s new hospital in Oroville, Calif. The project will add a five-story wing to the existing hospital. The 159,751-square-foot expansion will connect to the existing hospital at the first and second floors. The acute care hospital wing will expand the existing 132-bed facility to a new total of 228 beds. The project will consist of an ambulatory care center on the first floor, women’s and infant center including labor, delivery and recovery on the second floor, a third-floor ICU, and two floors consisting of 70 new medical/surgery beds. CannonDesign is the architect of record, and the project is expected to be finished in 2022.
